Do you believe that a theology degree and Arab help in my plans to become a journalist?
I have a place at Durham University to theology with modules in Arabic next year. After that, I am with the goal of becoming a journalist / foreign and war correspondent in the Middle East or write for Time, New Statesman or similar publication. I am a humanist class so I'm not studying theology to improve a "faith" – But I hope that deeper understanding of other religions and histories, the figures and the Book He has wrought in society, for better or for worse, I'll have an "edge" in the world of journalism. I hope I am right in this?
