My partner is a shopophobe. He grew up in a country town and likes to call himself a rural sexual, as opposed to a metrosexual.
If it were heaven, he would still be with lumberjack shirts 1992. We can not allow this – I have my own reputation to maintain – gradually, almost without noticing, I found myself shopping for him. What began here as a T-shirt, pair of socks there, has become a complete set of each season.

For this man, retail therapy is something you have after visiting the mall. And it is not alone.
Men, as a species, hate shopping. To them, football is from Mars, Venus fashion is. Last year, the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania, conducted a study called "Men buy, women shop ', about the priorities of different sexes" when walking through the hallways. The researchers found were reverting to gender stereotyping in the stores: the men were hunters, gatherers, women. Men wanted to shoot, find a parking place, sure of his destination, choose the shortest output queue and get out of there. The women were happier surfing, chatting with sales people and try samples before making a purchase.
It is this kind of research that could mean that my days as closet dictator are numbered. The stores have realized that a large untapped market of male consumers and are adjusting their strategies. Indeed, the woman makes the man. So what happens if I change the language lumberjack? I change his shirts. A marvel of red plaid flannel at a time.
